I have SQL Server Native Client for 2008 R2 installed on a Windows 2008 R2 Server. It is an application server and not a SQL server, so it has other SQL server components from various editions from 2005 to 2012, but no full Standard or Enterprise instances.
I believe the version I have installed is the x86 version. I try to remove the program from "Programs and Features" but when I try to uninstall it, it says that the application is not installed. When I try to upgrade it or change it, it tells me it cannot find the installer.
Is there someplace that gives official Microsoft issued instructions:
1) how to manually remove the program?
2) how to determine of some pre-requisite other application is preventing uninstallation?
Any assistance is appreciated.
